About UniART

UniMAP Automotive Racing Team (UniART) was established in 2009 under the School of Mechatronic Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Perlis. The main objective  is to nurture student’s automotive and technical skills, to prepare them for new challenges in the industry. 

The team consists of UniMAP students from the various schools, with the guidance from the talented academic staffs with various expertises. Spearheaded by the Mechanical Engineering programme lecturers, the multi-disciplinary nature of the engineering will give further advantage of the development of the racing cars.

During the designing and fabrication process of the race car, the student’s engineering skills will be put to test. The students, as a team, will learn to design, machine and fabricate the race car, until the car is fit to perform in a race track.  

Up until now, we actively participate in the race such as Formula SAE ASEAN, Formula Varsity, EIMARace, IPMARace and Formula UniMAP annually. As the competition from various varsities grew stronger in this arena, we will accept the challenges and rose to be a force to be reckoned with.
